I have enjoyed attending our 1977 Class Reunions which have given me an opportunity to reunite with past friends. I am looking forward to connecting with old and new friends at the upcoming 50th Reunion in two years.

Meanwhile, it seems hard to believe that we are all at this general point in our lives, but I am now enjoying retirement in a 55+ community called Stonebridge in Monroe Township, New Jersey. As you can expect, my wife and I are partaking in the many offered amenities such as a clubhouse with a ballroom and stage, theatre room, grille room, ping pong room, pool table room, card table room, including indoor/outdoor pool, tennis, pickle ball, and bocce ball courts. And while others may dispute this, I am proudly the club champion in five of the competitive leagues in the clubhouse. Okay, so maybe not five but it’s somewhere close to that.

Before retirement, I was a Recruiter for 37 years dedicated to Information Technology Infrastructure and the last six years dedicated to the Pharmaceutical industry. It was a very fulfilling career, meeting and helping with the placement of 1,000’s of people in positions and careers of their own. Over the years, my LinkedIn profile grew to 4,700 followers.

It has been a wonderful life which has included being married for 37 years to Iris and being the proud parents of two boys who are now 30 and 34 years old. Before living in Monroe, our family lived in Hillsborough, New Jersey and before that in Randolph, New Jersey. The boys enjoyed the typical growing up activities such as karate, basketball and baseball. We enjoyed watching and coaching them!

The eldest, Eric, graduated from Rutgers University with a Masters Public Administration and has worked as a Special Assistant for the Office of Congressman Brendan Boyle and currently works as a Compensation Analyst at American Water Company. Eric lives in Philadelphia and was married eight months ago. He also plays in a band called Puppy Angst, which has released an album, and videos of the band are available on YouTube app. He has played at South by Southwest, travels all along the east coast to places such as Philadelphia, Brooklyn, the Carolinas and Nashville to perform.

Adam, our youngest, graduated with a Masters from the University of Pittsburgh in Speech Language Pathology with high honors. He has been married to his soul partner for three months, who has a PhD in RNA and Protein, and both are currently living in St. Louis, Missouri.

Despite what you might have heard, I am not dead yet! I enjoy a wide variety of music such as Biohazard (a combination of Metallica and Beastie Boys). I have an interest in expressing world diversity and our eco-system, as well as self-expression, which I am all about. My music listening also includes Joni Mitchell and Carly Simon for easy listening, Rosanne Cash for Country, The Animals and Flo & Eddie for our pop culture, Iggy Pop for Punk, the all-girl band The Warning, and definitely Chappell Roan, a recent Grammy Award Winner. And let’s not forget my son’s second band called In Lieu of Roses which they are always playing at the Philly Ukrainian (Uke’) Club.

Retirement has afforded me an uptick in my free time which allows me to pursue some long-time interests in writing poetry, antiquing, collecting art, tennis and weightlifting. I’ve been known to be spotted often at Tavern on the Lake in Hightstown, New Jersey for excellent bar food and drinks, and let’s not forget listening to the good music. Once in a while, you may find that I even dress up appropriately on an occasion or two, but yet always look good and in style.

Have fun in whatever you are doing these days and I look forward to hearing or reading about you in the future!
